Patience Davis Consulting offer individual and small group coaching (max of 6 people) in storytelling and communications skills.
What’s the difference between coaching and training?
Our training courses are designed to introduce you to the wide range of ways that storytelling can help you at work. Our coaching offerings tend to be focussed on specific problems, such as:
- I want to overcome my anxiety about speaking in public
- My team has a big pitch coming up and we want a storyteller to work with us on it
- I’m giving a speech for the first time and I don’t know where to start
If you have a particular problem that you or your team want one-to-one coaching support for, please get in touch with us at coaching@patiencedavies.com
What does coaching entail?
Our coaching services are entirely bespoke and tailored to your needs.
Example coaching for an individual:
You have a conference presentation coming up in a few months.
We might suggest first meeting (virtually or in person) for a few hours to brainstorm the topic you want to present about, then perhaps follow that up with weekly or fortnightly sessions to support the development of the presentation and practice your delivery of it. In the final days before the conference, we could then schedule some multi-hour sessions to perfect your performance.
Example coaching for a group:
Your team is pitching for a new client next week, but the pitch is lifeless and a bit dull.
We could come and work with you every day for a week of pitch preparation. This could be helping you to find a story to engage your client’s attention, coaching your team on effective delivery techniques or working with your experts to convert technical language into an accessible narrative. Whatever you need.
